Royal Opera House Tour
On 15 March a small group of Swanley members and wives visited the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden for a backstage tour.
The tour gave a fascinating insight the the workings of one of the most important venues in the country, which employs over a thousand people to put on a new production every 10 days.
We also heard about their centre in Thurrock, where scenery and custumes are made, and which sounds like an interesting choice for a future visit.
